Swim and dive with the limits clear

Swimming is allowed, but there is no roped area and no lifeguard. Divers have no exclusive area, cannot dive at docks or ramps, and must arrange equipment and air fills away from the park.

Jocassee is known for trout as well as bass, and the cooler water is part of what makes the lake different from easier, warmer impoundments elsewhere in the state.

Daily admission is required for launches and private tours. Boats cannot remain docked longer than one hour; check current lake levels and water-access alerts before towing to the park.
